An ideal entry role to break into Medical Device sales from pharmaceuticals, medical sales or even allied health, as this is a specialised and highly successful national team inside a diverse medical distribution business offering proven support and roadmap to success.
  
What does the Product Specialist role look like?
  
  • Part of a sales team with a clear mission, after training you will be in the field [4.5 days a week ] to manage and grow sales revenue through strong customer interactions ( varies from surgeons in theatre, nursing staff education, procurement and others) to deliver a brand enhancing experience.
  • Living near or in Newcastle ( covering Newcastle main hospitals for most of the time out to HNE and up to Mid-North Coast, Coffs) your week will be mostly scheduled in advance around electives and education workshops for nurses [ keeping in mind the last minute changes that can occur in hospitals and also a team roster for phone "on-call" ]
  • Collaborating with an experienced and passionate manager to develop your territory plan - aligned with the overall product strategy ( includes a solution driven sell - Post-Surgical recovery , new Ortho-Biological range and OR products )
  • Applying your networking and rapport-building skills to gain trust, build credibility are essential to drive incremental sales and pull business towards you.
Your Experience And Skills ( Soft) To Be Successful
  
  • Some healthcare sales exposure ( or clinical support background ) such as, hospital /surgeon interactions plus Nursing; top performers also have come from allied health, pharmacy, and hospital, even teaching.
  • Tertiary qualifications in health sciences or related highly desirable and will help accelerate product learning and troubleshooting.
  • Right attributes include - drive, motivation, integrity, honesty and ownership to equip you for a very open, collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where you can get involved in more than just selling, a real team environment! No micro management!
  • It’s an agile culture, so an ability to interact well, suggest ideas, speak up and play a role in the shared success, not just your own accountabilities, is essential and is fun to be part of!
  • There’s plenty of support, but an inquisitive mind and proactive approach to troubleshooting or resolving issues will underpin your success and accountability. You can grow your skills rapidly in this role and beyond!
