A contract role  ( 6 months ) is available starting late January; this urgent opening includes a fast track training & induction program plus a comparable earning potential to the FT role. 
   
About the role
   
In this Clinical Specialist role, you'll be responsible for providing intra-operative ( case support ) and clinical education for an orthopaedic arthroplasty portfolio. 
   
Working as part of the Vic team (central/inner Melbourne  ), you'll be spending your day on the road and attending theatre cases across the area in addition to other duties such as stock management and supporting the sales team with sharing of market intelligence.
  
After training, you'll experience a hands-on environment, suited if you are a highly efficient, skilled theatre scrub nurse who enjoys teamwork and solving problems to ensure a successful surgery. 
   
To be successful, you must have:
  
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Post-grad in Nursing and have specialised within the Operating Theatre - as a Scrub / Scout for Arthroplasty procedures. 
  • Or you may already have moved into the industry and work in a similar ortho or surgical role. 
  • You are highly organised and capable of working with minimal supervision; you know how to take the initiative to solve issues in theatre proactively.
  • You are self-confident and can "read the room" to stay in control of stressful OR scenarios as they arise. 
  • An ability to communicate at all levels with different stakeholders.
  • The capacity to absorb technical information from the training and apply this using your existing orthopaedic procedural knowledge to be effective on a solo basis from the 5th week in the role with case coverage.
